Your Living Room, Your Dojo

Mikitadou is my take on blending martial arts with the practicality of solo home training. It’s all about staying flexible, getting fit, and practicing martial arts, not for knocking people out (though that can be a useful bonus) but for building a strong, healthy body and a solid mind-body connection, all from the comfort of your home.

Born out of my 18+ years of training in disciplines like Kung Fu, Kenjutsu, and Systema Kadochnikova, Mikitadou isn’t just about techniques; it’s about creating a disciplined body, sharpening your mind, and understanding yourself on a deeper level. I keep things fresh by updating the content regularly, sharing insights from my own training (and occasional misadventures), to help aspiring martial artists and inspire those already on their journey. Because let’s face it, we’re all a work in progress!

Q&A: Solo Martial Arts Training at Home

  1. Q: What are the benefits of training martial arts at home?
    • A: Training at home offers flexibility, convenience, and privacy. You can train on your own schedule, in a comfortable environment, and at your own pace. It also eliminates the costs associated with gym memberships and travel.
  2. Q: What equipment do I need to get started?
    • A: You can start with minimal equipment. Comfortable workout clothes (since its your home, even underwear will do), some open space, and a positive mindset are the most important things. Many of the initial drills and exercises can be done with just your bodyweight.
